Our mission is to pioneer safe, cost-effective space exploration, with a long-term vision that stretches beyond Earth’s orbit to enable human space travel to distant destinations, including the far reaches of our solar system.
Sunburnt Space Co is dedicated to achieving a series of ambitious milestones, starting with the launch of one of the first Australian rockets to space.
Our journey doesn’t stop there. We aim to continuously push the boundaries of what’s possible, from the edge of space to eventually enabling human missions to Jupiter.
The name Sunburnt Space Co is a nod to the rugged Australian landscape, a land of vast deserts, red earth, and an unyielding sun. It reflects our ambition to launch from this sunburnt land into the infinite expanse of space, symbolizing our commitment to pioneering Australian innovation on a global scale.

Meet Brad
Brad’s journey into rocketry began in 1992 when he built his first rocket, igniting a lifelong passion for aerospace and exploration.
Over the decades, he honed his skills, culminating in 2023 when he achieved the Tripoli Level 3 Certification, the highest level in hobby rocketry. This milestone was marked by his certification rocket, Fatty Finn, a testament to his dedication and expertise.
But Brad’s story doesn’t stop with rocketry. Alongside his aerospace pursuits, he has started, run, and successfully sold multiple businesses.
This entrepreneurial journey provided him with the essential skills and experience needed to navigate the complex commercial space sector. It’s this unique combination of hands-on rocketry experience and business acumen that positions Brad as a pioneering force in the new frontier of space exploration.
With Sunburnt Space Co, Brad is channelling his passion and expertise into building a company that not only dreams big but also makes those dreams a reality, driving Australia’s space ambitions forward.
