It’s been an exciting and productive few months at Sunburnt Space Co. as we move closer to achieving our dream of launching an Australian-built rocket into space. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

• A New Home for Innovation
  We’ve officially moved into our new factory, a space that started as an empty shell but is now buzzing with activity. What began as a blank canvas has been transformed into a fully fitted-out facility, complete with workbenches, tools, and specialised equipment. Seeing our team hard at work, using those tools to bring our vision to life, is a huge milestone.
• Building the Rocket
  Our first tank body is being carefully formed out of carbon fibre, a key step in creating the rocket’s core structure. Meanwhile, our new 3D printer has been churning out components for the mock-up, which is now well underway.
• Mock-Up Milestones
  The mock-up body has been assembled, and we’ve built and begun attaching the fins—a critical feature for stability during flight. It’s incredible to see these pieces coming together and to feel the excitement of our first rocket taking shape.
• Finalising the Sponsorship Offer
  After careful planning, we’ve finalised our sponsorship offer. This is a unique opportunity for brands to join us on this historic journey. Keep an eye out for more details soon, or get in touch if you want to be part of the mission.
• Lights, Camera, Action!
  To share our journey with the world, we’ve also started recording our first videos. These will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the people, passion, and progress driving Sunburnt Space Co.

We’ve included two photos to show just how far we’ve come. One shows the factory as it was when we moved in—an empty floor filled with endless possibilities. The second shows it today, fully equipped and alive with activity. It’s a proud moment for the team and a visual reminder of how much we’ve accomplished together.
