What does it take to get a rocket ready for launch? In this behind-the-scenes walkthrough, I take you through the final prep for Mini Meggs, the subscale test rocket we’re using to validate critical systems ahead of our full-scale Meggs Jr. space mission.

Why Mini Meggs?
Mini Meggs is a half-scale version of our main rocket. our first rocket used as a system integration testbed. Rather than pushing for maximum altitude or performance, this flight is designed to help us:
Validate plumbing and valve control systems.
Test ignition and pressurisation logic.
Gather telemetry and pressure data in real conditions.
This test ensures that when Meggs Jr. launches to the Kármán line, every component is battle-tested.
What Success Looks Like
If all goes to plan, we’ll walk away from this test with:
Clean pressure and ignition data.
Confirmation that our ground systems work as expected.
Confidence heading into the full Meggs Jr. launch campaign.
This is a critical step on our journey to put our Aussie-built rocket into space. Mini Meggs is helping us build the confidence, systems, and momentum to get there.
